Fujikawaguchiko thatched-roof farmhouses of local arts and crafts.

We walked through the thatched-roof village above and visited those shops that were opened. That day in early January 2025 was exceptionally cold (20s°F – 40s°F) in Fujikawaguchiko – Lake Saiko area. This was because it sits at high elevation (nearly 3,000 feet above sea level), and January is Japan’s peak winter. Walking through the local shops reminded me of the market stalls where my grandparents ran their own successful general merchandise store, similar to “20 Ranch”. That family legacy inspired our business model, its foundation, and how we design it around the four core principles: Curated Quality: A thoughtfully limited selection of tea and herbs, sourced exclusively from respectful, reputable growers. Mindful Pairings: Guidance on pairing our tea selections with the right foods. Education & Service First: Engaging and teaching our community through genuine customer care. A business that respects traditional herbal knowledge while being transparent about what modern research shows. Fair Value: Exceptional quality offered at reasonable pricing.
